The Plainview Herald is an award winning daily newspaper with historical ties to the community.Four local radio stations serve the area including: KKYN country 106.9 FM, KRIA Classic Rock 103.9 FM, KVOP Talk/Sports 1090 AM and Good Times Oldies 1400 AM.

Golf Course / Country Club

The Plainview Country Club has banquet facilities that accommodate 400 people. A well-groomed 18-hole golf course is open to the public.
